Our nanny service: 1 nanny, 1 child

Some visits, you need an hour for yourself. A work call, a coffee in peace, a quick shop at Terminal 21 next door. Our nanny service gives you that hour.

You book a nanny by the hour, and that nanny looks after your child, and only your child, until you come back.

1 nanny for 1 child

Each nanny looks after 1 child at a time. For the whole time you book, the nanny stays with your child and gives them their full attention.

With 1 child to look after, the nanny can go where your child goes and help as soon as they need a hand.

Small children move fast. A toddler can get from the ball pit to the slide in seconds, and an older child can be halfway up a climbing wall before you look up. With 1 nanny per child, someone is watching your child the whole time.

If you'd like nanny time for 2 children, book 2 nannies, 1 for each child.

The service is for children aged 1 to 7. Your child plays in the zone for their age: Rainbow Pony on the ground floor for ages 1 to 3, or Astro Pony upstairs from age 4.

Who our nannies are

Our nannies are trained in first aid, AED and CPR. AED training covers using a defibrillator, the device that can deliver a shock to the heart in a cardiac emergency. CPR covers chest compressions and rescue breaths.

Like everyone on our floor, they train on check-in, check-out and our incident procedure before their first shift. They speak Thai and English, and they work alongside the play supervisors on both floors.

We hire for patience first, and we train the rest.

We don't publish staff names or photos online, because shifts change. Your child's nanny introduces themselves to you at reception.

How it works, step by step

  • Check in at reception.   We register your child's name and age, plus your name and phone number.
  • Get your stickers.   We print 3 matching stickers: 1 for your child's clothes, 1 for you, and 1 for our entry log. Keep yours, because you'll need it atpick-up.
  • Choose your nanny time.   You can book 1 hour, 1.5 hours or 3 hours. The nanny price doesn't include your child's playground ticket, so choose a play time that covers the nanny time. Prices are on our Babysitter page.
  • Meet the nanny.   Tell them anything that helps: allergies, a favorite toy, how your child likes to be comforted, or anything else about theirroutine.
  • Say goodbye.   A short, clear goodbye helps most children settle. Tell your child you'll be back, and then go.
  • Pick up.   When you come back, show your sticker. It has to match your child's sticker before your child leaves with you.

What the nanny does

During the booking, the nanny:

  • stays with your child the whole time
  • plays with them in the zone for their age, at your child's pace
  • follows our house rules, such as socks on and no rough play
  • calls you if your child needs you

How your child stays safe

Nanny time runs inside the same safety routine as every visit:

  • Your child wears their sticker, and only the adult with the matching sticker can collect them.
  • The exits are gated and monitored.
  • Play supervisors work on both floors, and there are CCTV cameras in the play areas.
  • If your child gets hurt, the nanny and our team follow our incident procedure, and we call you straight away. Every incident is written up.

Stay nearby or step out

During nanny time, you choose where to be. Stay in the café with a coffee, work on our free Wi-Fi, or leave LariDea for a while, for example to shop at Terminal 21 next door. If you'd like to stay and watch, there's seating for parents on both floors.

If you step out, keep your phone on and the volume up. We have your number from check-in, and we'll call you whenever we need to. Terminal 21 is next door, so you're close by if we call.

If you're running late, call or message us so we know. Your child's play time follows our usual rule: staying more than 10 minutes past the paid time adds a full hour.

What to bring

  • Comfortable clothes that are easy to climb in. Leggings or long trousers work well.
  • A spare top for toddlers.
  • Formula or baby food, if your child needs it. Other outside food isn't allowed in the café or the play areas.
  • Socks for your child. LariDea grip socks are sold at reception.

Tips for a first booking

  • Start with 1 hour. You'll see how your child settles, and you can book longer next time.
  • Tell your child about the nanny before you arrive, so the idea isn't new.
  • Arrive a few minutes early, so your child can meet the nanny while you're still there.
  • Pack a comfort item if your child has one, such as a soft toy.
  • Charge your phone before you arrive if you plan to step out.
  • If your child is unwell, please keep them at home. We may ask a child who seems ill to come back another day.
